Tatar Alan

A living environment for Tatar language learning, cultural exploration, and shared discovery — where every generation begins their own journey of transformation.
More than a camp. A transformation.
Tatar Alan is about milli family spirit, cultural roots, a warm environment, and a Tatar-language-inspired everyday life. It is a place where not only children, but entire families grow together — and where every person can ask: Who am I? Where do I come from? What carries me forward?

A place for every generation
Each group follows an age-appropriate program while remaining part of one shared community. Every program is a different path to the same destination: knowing who you are.
Identity begins before words. A baby first perceives their native language and cultural roots through their mother — through her voice, her touch, her presence. This brand-new program focuses not on teaching, but on natural development and the gentle passing of a living culture from one generation to the next.
For the child:
- Feels safe and secure
- Explores the world with curiosity
- Language opens in their mother tongue
For the mother:
- Understands her child more deeply
- Guides development with confidence
- Learns new activities to do together
The first roots of identity take hold in childhood — through play, song, story, and belonging. Through quests and games, children answer big questions: Who are the Tatars? Who was Süyembikä? They find that being Tatar is something exciting, beautiful, and theirs.
🌙 Fairy-tale evenings
Each evening, a different storyteller reads Tatar fairy tales before bed — building listening skills and vocabulary in the mother tongue.
👨👩👧 Parent-child project
A joint project with parents, presented at the Tatar Youth Forum stage — shared creation that deepens family bonds.
At this age, questions of identity become real and personal. Main Alan is the space where those questions are not avoided — they’re explored, celebrated, and lived. Language, creative projects, history, sport, and adventure — participants build deep roots while forming friendships that last long beyond the camp.
A space where Tatar youth meet their roots and shape their future. The Youth program is where the question of identity stops being abstract and becomes something you can taste, debate, and create. Conversations during hikes, late-night chay, the Tatar Youth Forum, networking with mentors — everything here helps you find your wings and know what to do with them.
The identity of a child is always, in part, a reflection of their parents’ own journey. Parents at Tatar Alan are not spectators — they are full participants. When parents reconnect with their own roots, the whole family grows together.
Tatar Youth Forum · July 10–13
A dedicated space for Tatar youth from all over the world — to connect, share ideas, and explore what it means to be Tatar today. Everyone takes part. Every voice is heard. New friendships and ideas are born right here.
Have you ever seen a Tatar forum opened by an MMA fighter? Ramil’s story is about strength, determination, and overcoming yourself. He’ll share his journey as a Tatar wrestler — and participants will have the chance to ask questions in an open press conference format.
Many know Zarina as a singer and performer — and yes, talent runs in talent. She is also a certified breathing practice instructor. Participants will try breathing exercises and feel the results within minutes: calming down, sharpening focus, and freeing their voice.
Tony Cross is an American researcher specializing in Tatar national identity and cultural heritage. At the forum, she’ll share her research, lead discussions, and encourage every participant to think critically. Not dry theory — real exploration, questions, and new discoveries.
