Since 2017, Alima Academy has been diligently creating educational opportunities for the heritage Tatars who live away from the indigenous lands and wish to learn, practice and improve the tongue of their parents and grandparents. Due to complexity of modern realities, the native Tatar language is turning into a foreign language for an increasing number of students whose ancestors were eloquent in Tatar.
The Online Alima Academy tries to tackle the Tatar’s native language crisis by offering online synchronous instructions for the Tatar language learners of all levels, curated courses in Tatar literature, history, culture, and other educational programming. Discovering, supporting and manifesting own identity through keeping the native tongue has been trending. But resources are limited, especially, for the languages of stateless nations.
Alima Academy is the only globally available online educational platform that offers instructions of heritage-turned-foreign Tatar language, Tatar academic courses and curated programs for Tatar learners. This big mission is accompanied with many challenges that are partially tied to finances.

Payment for a Specific Child’s Education
We have a database of applications from families who, despite their desire to provide their children with education in Tatar, are unable to do so for various reasons. You can choose to support one or more children and the subjects they wish to study by covering the cost of their education. In return, we will send you regular progress reports on the academic achievements of the child you support.

Support the Publication of Tatar Books
We have organized several fundraising campaigns to support the publication of Tatar children’s books. There are many projects, but not enough books. Our ideas are endless, and we are ready to share them with you! Let’s support our talented Tatar creators together!

Any financial contribution is valued. When donating, you can either specify the item you most interested in supporting or leave it to our discretion to fuel the area of the most need. We will follow up individually with each contributor to provide information and outcomes of their valuable support. We are incredibly grateful to anyone who cares, fosters and facilitates flourishing of the Tatar tongue.
Our primary goal is to create an online Tatar community where people can take pride in their history and culture, providing opportunities for communication and language practice in Tatar. Creating conditions for education in the Tatar language is especially important to us. Over the past six years of successful teaching, we have encountered families unable to afford lesson fees. In such cases, we strive to find and involve sponsors willing to support a specific child in learning a particular subject.
